Tim Walz, the current Governor of Minnesota, is married to Gwen Walz. The couple met in college and have been together for over 30 years.

Tim and Gwen Walz have two children together:

• Hope (born January 2001)
• Gus (born October 13, 2006)

Tim Walz has openly discussed the challenges they faced in raising their children while he was serving in the military and as a freshman congressman. Both Hope and Gus are now in their late teens and early twenties, and they are actively involved in their father's political campaigns.
